3 Unique Bridal Shower Ideas Your Bride Will Love

by Seven Bridges

The only time you’ll normally get to attend a bridal shower is if you or someone you know is getting married.

So, it’s not something you get to just do all the time.

It’s special.

For that reason, the bridal shower ideas you pitch to the rest of your bridal party group should be pretty special.

Ideally, they should be the sorts of things you wouldn’t typically do on any given weekend or afternoon.

But as you’ll see in this short article, that doesn’t mean you need to break the bank or re-invent the wheel.

And like we’ve done before, we’re going to keep to a health-conscious and eco-friendly theme here.

1. Reduce Your Toxic Load

🔥 Warning: Coming in hot! 🔥

Do you know how much harmful exposure you and everyone else have to toxic chemicals every day?

They’re in your food, your clothes, your shampoo, your deodorant, your feminine hygiene products, and perhaps most of all, in your cosmetics.

Every time you apply foundation or concealer, you might be caking your face in poison that’s going to make your skin age faster and maybe even cause you serious health problems.

There’s a reason why Americans in particular have so many common serious health problems that just aren’t as common in other parts of the world: chemical exposure.

Companies in this country are legally permitted to add over 1000 known toxins to their cosmetics and packaging that are flat-out banned in other places, like the entire European Union.

¡¡¡Holy Crap!!!

Yes, holy crap indeed.

But fortunately, there are things you can do about it, and one of those things is a top choice on our list of bridal shower ideas.

While you can’t save the world or cleanse the United States of known human carcinogens all by yourself, you absolutely can change the cosmetics you use.

And you can do that by organizing a class for you and the rest of your bridal party to learn how to make alternative cosmetics at home.

Who knows, one of you might even wind up creating a business from it in the future.

Of course, if you really want to live boldly and beautifully, you could learn to make non-toxic moisturizers and other skincare products so you can go without makeup entirely from now on.

Women were already beautiful for millennia before anyone ever thought to invent concealers or photo filters.

Why not reclaim that glorious tradition and simultaneously acquire a skill that will benefit you all tremendously for the rest of your lives?

Note: If you can’t find an instructor, you can find a ton of video tutorials all over the internet and create a makeshift laboratory and workshop in your kitchen.

2. Get Your Mind Right

We’re talking here about meditation retreats, or just nature retreats.

Either way, the aim with these bridal shower ideas is to get away from it all and physically extricate yourself from the hustle and grind of your everyday life so you can have a bit of time and peace to process and relax.

You might do this by reserving spots at an organized retreat in a dedicated meditation center up in the mountains or something.

Or you could rent some cabins at a nature resort (or even a ski lodge off-season) and spend the whole time hiking, canoeing, and enjoying nature with the girls.

Nature? But What Do I Even Do In Nature?

Literally anything you want.

Well, maybe not anything.

Don’t litter, for one.

But within reason and the limits of the law, you can do pretty much whatever you want.

More specifically, though, you might as well take advantage of what’s around you.

If you’re near water, that can mean renting kayaks or a pontoon boat to throw a little boat party on.

If you’re near the mountains, go hiking.

If you’re near a place that has horses, call the owners and ask if you can ride them.

And if you’re anywhere near a beach, maybe you can all sign up for a dolphin spotting tour or something else like that.

3. Visit a Korean Spa

You or someone else in your group might know what the deal is here, but in case none of you do, a Korean spa is not like any regular ol’ spa.

You see, in Korea, it has long been a tradition for people to visit all-day spas and even sleep there overnight.

It’s such a big thing in Korea that you’ll find these spas in pretty much every city, and almost every resident visits them at least a few times a year.

There’s even a whole culture and system of etiquette surrounding them.

But We’re In America…

Yes.

And you know who else is also here in America with you?

Lots and lots of Korean people.

Those very same Korean people have brought the concept of a Korean spa to this country in a big way.

From the East to the West Coast, it’s not entirely possible to find such establishments that rival, if not surpass, their counterparts back in the Land of the Morning Calm.

Also, to make it even better, like in Korea itself, these places usually serve delicious spa food and offer invigorating spa treatments.

Enjoy Yourselves

We’ll wrap things up here.

There are more bridal shower ideas we could go on about and more we could say about the ones we’ve mentioned, but this article would get too long.

We’ve only got so much time we can spend on writing, after all.

And we’re sure you’ve only got so much time to spend reading what we write.

We want to stay conscious of that.

Lastly, we hope we’ve been able to get your mind moving and buzzing, though.

Have a fantastic time! 😉
